About us

Ctrl is a brand from Greenmission, a Norwegian startup building physical, distraction-reducing interfaces for modern vehicles.

Our history

We started by designing wireless phone chargers assembled at home. After a while the orders grew and we had to outsource production.

That work led to Ctrl-Bar 1, our first major hardware product. The project launched on Indiegogo and was successfully funded by a global community that shared our belief in tactile, physical controls.

Ctrl-Bar 1 proved something important: drivers wanted fewer screens and more intentional interaction. It became the foundation for everything that followed.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: build products that make driving intuitive.

Interaction in a moving vehicle should rely on muscle memory, not visual confirmation. Physical controls allow drivers to act instinctively — without navigating menus or shifting focus away from the road.

Every product we build is designed to reduce cognitive load, preserve attention, and feel natural to use without looking.

Driving by research — testing decisions where they matter.

Our future

Building on our early products, we developed Ctrl-Platform — a modular system designed to bring physical control back into modern cars.

Ctrl-Platform launched on Kickstarter and was successfully funded, validating the demand for safer, tactile alternatives to touchscreens.

Today, Ctrl is based in Oslo, Norway. Our products are shaped by Scandinavian design principles: clarity, restraint, and purpose.

Going forward, our focus remains unchanged — fewer distractions, better hardware, and interfaces that respect the act of driving.
