Update from the Ctrl-Bar Team
Hundreds of customers in over 11 countries across all continents are receiving the Ctrl-Bar these days. We are immensely proud of this, but unfortunately, this also means longer response times in customer service than usual. I apologize for this inconvenience, but I assure you that we are doing our best to provide you with excellent service.
The Ctrl-Bar team is growing
We now have a team of twelve people working on Ctrl-Bar. Six of these are software developers. Here's what they are currently focusing on:
Bug fixes and optimization
We continuously work on improvements and optimization of Ctrl-Bar. As a result, you will frequently receive updates that enhance the product. It's crucial that you regularly update to the latest version to ensure everything works optimally.
"Loading" - Unable to connect Ctrl-Bar to the phone
Some users have reported seeing the message "Loading" on their Ctrl-Bar, which doesn't go away. This indicates that the Ctrl-Bar is not connected to the phone. Please ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on, reset the power on the Ctrl-Bar, and try exiting and re-entering the app. This issue might occur because the app sometimes goes into a "sleep" mode. We will be launching a fix for this in the coming days.
New API features
We are working on 9 new API features (functions available through Tesla's API). These will be released within the year. See the features we are planning here: https://ctrl-bar.com/en-no
OBD features
We have also begun the development of the necessary hardware and software for the introduction of "OBD features". This will provide access to numerous new features, with plans to launch at the beginning of 2024.
New Tesla Interface
Ctrl-Bar currently uses the same interface with Tesla as all other third-party suppliers, such as Tessie. However, Tesla is set to release a new API which will provide an even more stable solution. We are updating our code to utilize this new interface. This will offer you even better and more integrated services with Tesla through Ctrl-Bar in the future.
Launch of Split-function for heating
We plan to launch this feature in week 42. You will then be able to control the temperature individually on both sides.
